Synopsis

Thirty-something sergeant LUI FEI-HAP (Niki Chow) from the Emergency Unit of the Hong Kong Police Force has been let down by love too many times. So when the man she finds perfect shows up she jumps to the opportunity to hunt him down.

Never has she expected that he is a drug baron. To make things worse, tabloid reporter LAM YAT-YAT (Michael Tse) has been following them, and their relationship hits the headlines. HAP finds herself in love with new recruit WONG TZE-TSUEN (Matthew Ko) before long. But again, YAT tries hard to stand in her way. It turns out that her father, LUI CHUN-NAM (Benz Hui), is the mastermind of all this and YAT is his accomplice. On the other hand, HAP is at odds with her supervisor, SZETO KIU (Mandy Wong), which means her days are spent trying to outdo KIU. Pushed to her limit both at work and at love, this bizarre female cop has no choice but to fight back for the name of love!

hmmm am pretty confused tho. will this drama be airring in HK too at a later date or not at all? cos now HK is currently airring The Greatness of A Hero – 盛世仁傑 after Queen of Hearts and Diamonds.

    • KTVB says:

It depends on TVB’s decision. It may or may not be shown in HK depending on how well it’s received in overseas. E.g The Greatness of a Hero was also a warehoused series which was shown overseas a few years ago but only released in HK now. Same goes to “Sweetness in the salt”, “A great way to care” just to name a few.

oh i see.. what if it gets airred in HK at a later date then what will people overseas watch? will there be another ‘warehoused’ drama for them to watch?

        • KTVB says:

Possibly another warehoused series. Last time they gave us Taiwanese TV series “I do?” 幸福的抉擇 instead

  • Ri says:

I watched the 1st ep, thought it was so-so. What I did notice was that Michael Tse’s roles are getting all too similar.. even as a reporter he reminds me of a police officer/Laughing-gor!

    • KTVB says:

      Hey Ri!!
I’ve watched the first 7 episodes..I think its only so-so as well..I don’t actually like the characters that much and the plot seems a bit random. Michael Tse looks exactly like Laughing Gor lol Personality not too far off either. I still enjoy his performance the most- its entertaining seeing how this reporter rocks up everywhere trying to get info. Mathew Ko’s character is just too weird..

  • tvwithrice says:

Also sorta following this. Didn’t really hook me. But I like both Nikki Chow and Michael Tse enough to keep watching to see if it gets better. And yes, I keep seeing laughing gor.
I am still in my The Hippocratic Crush withdrawal, its hard to find a drama just as compelling.

i have just finished watching the series and i liked i. it might not been as good as some of the others but still ok. At least the ending was a happy one but i dont understand how she knew that he didnt do it. i am starting to become a big fan of niki especially after bottled passion.

  • Cammie says:

I don’t get why they keep making fun of Niki’s age. If I saw her, I would think she is 22 or something. She seriously doesn’t look that old.

  • Rin says:

Ooh, I watched this when it came out last year and I liked it I think lol.
I”m wondering though, why are some series “warehoused”? HK can still watch them if they go online though… right?

    • KTVB says:

I’m assuming HK people are too busy/can’t be bothered to go online to download series when they have TV dramas that are fee to air anyway. Also, official TVB websites aren’t released for warehoused dramas, so they’re prob not that aware of it either/not promoted.
